Ukraine and Switzerland are ready to sign an agreement on facilitating visa regime in February 2010. The countries confirmed their readiness to sign the agreement during Ukrainian Foreign Minister Petro Poroshenko's visit to Switzerland on Friday.

At a meeting with Head the Swiss Federal Department of Justice and Police Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf, Poroshenko said that progress had been made in talks on signing a visa facilitation agreement and an agreement on police cooperation, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press service reported.

The sides pointed to the high level of readiness of the visa facilitation agreement and agreed to do all they can to sign the document in February 2010.
