Congratulations of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov on the Independence Day of Ukraine

 

Dear citizens of Ukraine!

 

I congratulate you on Independence Day!

 

On this holiday, I particularly wish to emphasize that national independence - is not a random fate gift or ambition of ruling elites.

 

This is the big responsibility and hard work.

 

Indeed, in recent years we were the witnesses of how the incompetent, weak government has put the State to the brink of existence. The so-called biggest protagonists of independence by their own affairs ignored the Constitution, have diluted the economy, have caved the currency, have got the country into the gas bondage, have destroyed the image of independent Ukraine in the world.

 

Whoever would consider with such Ukraine? Who would respect it? Would it remain the independent State, being in debt and unable to pay?

 

The people of Ukraine realized in time that patriotism and strengthening of the independence are not bluster, but daily affairs.

 

The authorities, from Kyiv to each village must be united, strong, and professional.

 

The time, when the spears were broken in political battles, did not give nothing good to people.

 

The time to increase the invaluable capital of the independence, to provide for next generations a European future - has come.

 

I am sure that now every citizen of Ukraine understands that only by coordinated the work, having rejected the contention, we can build the independent Ukraine.

 

I believe that this task can be accomplished by Ukrainian people.
