On 15 March 2010, Ambassador of Ukraine to Belgium Yevhen Bersheda had a meeting with the parliamentary Group of Friendship Belgium-Ukraine headed by Senator Bart Tommelein in the Belgian Federal Parliament.

The parties discussed the topical issues of Ukrainian-Belgian cooperation and prospects for development of inter-parliamentary contacts.

They exchanged views on the European processes, the internal political situations in Ukraine and Belgium, the bilateral regional partnership and ways of strengthening the Ukrainian-Belgian economic relations.

Belgian parliamentarians expressed their support for the European integration policy and democratic reforms in Ukraine. They confirmed their interest in deepening further cooperation.
