During the meeting Victor Yushchenko reaffirmed the interest in effective implementation of the roadmap of Ukrainian-Belgian relations in 2009-2010 and the continuation of such a mechanism of cooperation.

Victor Yushchenko also expressed Ukraine's interest in enhancing economic cooperation with Belgium. In this context, he proposed to hold the second meeting of the Belgian-Ukrainian intergovernmental joint commission on trade-economic and financial cooperation.

In the subject of trade and economic cooperation sides have also discussed practical steps to prepare economic mission of Prince Philippe to Ukraine in 2010.
